Made my first animation, and had to show off my icon *beams*

It was fun, I can see this becoming a habit. I just love that image from Endsong. So sessay, especially considering who she's leaning on. Don't think about it too much =x

Anyway, off to work in the rain. Making Matthew Macfayden icons now, and I'll post some later! Where do those englishmen get so hot?

Okay so there was another x-jam on comicbookresources.com forums. Basically, it's a group poster, where everyone contributes one character to the poster within a common theme. This time, you could only draw one of the mutants which were confirmed depowered in the recent "House of M" and "Decimation" storylines in the Marvel universe.

What fun! So i holed myself up at my computer for a few days and did nothing towards the project until it was 2 days away. at which point i stayed up all night to finish the darned thing. I figured my journal was a good place to post it, so here he is:

Wraith: (only shown once, in Uncanny X-men #392.. as far as i know.. he's got invisible skin and the ability to convince other people he has visible skin. wow. can't imagine how he got cut =x)

In my defense, it was a whole lot more difficult to draw someone with that condition than I expected. heh.

Well, while I had some objections to the cheese of some bits of the movie (wires used so often, Jean's corset-costume, etc.), I was beside myself when I left the theatre.

I really don't think we could have written a more shipper-friendly movie if we had been asked to ourselves =x

So, I was stunned. They went so far!

I still can't believe how much the writers seemed to try to make the fans happy rather than the general audience.

and I'm so very glad he killed her. I didn't know if they'd go there. I hoped, but I didn't know... and I'm so impressed. Amazingly, the lab scene isn't what sticks with me. It's the final scene.

This is so going to add to the redshipper numbers out there... we won't be a minority anymore!~

And with all my excitement.. I couldn't help but go out and buy some more comics from mycomicshop.com. I have been so good for awhile but... the need was strong. I have been reading/buying the books in order from the first appearance of the phoenix (around 100) to the dark phoenix saga (around 130-140). It's taken me about 3 years so far. Tonight I ordered some bits and pieces I was missing and got up to 132! So I'll be able to read half of it anyway. Man those books are expensive! I don't mind having the ugliest, most torn-up book out there but I want an original. Not a reprint. They feel so good to read.

anyway, I will be posting any logan/jean interactive images that may be contained in uncanny x-men 121-131 on fallen-phoenix. There might not be any, but there might be something juicy I haven't yet seen. *fangirl dance*

OH, and I can't *wait* for the fanfic that will come of this!! I'll have new stuff to read for weeks!

Another lurker coming out of the woodwork due to redshipper-shock from the last few weeks' barrage of unbelievable... well you all know.

I almost choked on my kettle-corn the day that first juicy screen-capture from the movie came out. at the time i was all considering boycotting the movie because of the original "leaked" script which had those dreadful scenes with wolverine and storm. somehow i don't think there's much room for that now.

i hope. goodness.

but I did have a point.. I put together a website meant to give creative redshippers a place to find common and uncommon logan/jean images. Only canon images, that is. I didn't get as many posted as I wanted to, but apparently eiluned had the same muse, because she seems to have done something similar in the former post. Don't think I'm up to 45 images yet though! Give me time!!

Anyway, even though it's not finished, I wanted to post it before the movie opened. it's my first website so if anyone has any suggestions, i'm all ears! It's really just an online version of my l/j based comic collection, so as I scan them, I'll post more.

I decided to start up a new live journal to have a place for website updates/whatnots, as well as a place to put my fanart/scribbles other than my hard drive.

Also, I'm addicted to saving and consequently cropping every shiny picture I come across... I love making random icons, banners, wallpaper~ you name it. So I intend to post them all up here as well.

Basically... I'm doing this to satisfy my, frankly, demanding inner-fangirl.

Somehow doing something creative related to my obsessions makes me quite happy.

and keeps me from doing anything rash.
